Dozens of Iraqi and Syrian refugees were killed in military operations broke out between IS group vs YPG militia in the outskirts and inside the Sulaybi camp in the countryside of al-Shaddadi in Hassakeh.

Nearly 30 refugees, mostly Iraqis, mostly women and children, were killed yesterday in attacks on the country's militia at the YPG militia checkpoints on the edge of the Sulaybi camp, local media sources reported.

The sources pointed out that the militants of IS organization infiltrated into the YPG-held areas and managed to reach a military checkpoint of the militias, and began the attack with light machine guns, which led to the escape of the barrier’s guards and the militants infiltration in the civilian refugees camp, using civilians as human shields, which resulted in the killing of 30 civilians mostly women and children, mostly Iraqis.

The Sulaybi camp, located in the area of ​​al-Hool, which was established randomly eight months ago, is a place for civilians fleeing the fighting in Iraq and the cities of Deir al-Zour, rural areas of al-Shaddadi and Markada. The camp is also one of the worst refugee camps administrated by YPG before allowing the displaced people to enter the YPG-held areas.

The sources pointed out that 18 Iraqis civilian victims were buried inside the camp, within the area of ​​al-Hool, while the rest were transferred to other areas, noting that the injured number climbed up  50 wounded.

It is noteworthy that an IS group militant blew himself up inside the camp, and also killed many of the militias and civilians as well, and the death toll of the YPG has not yet been known.

It is noteworthy that IS group launched several attacks during the past 48 hours, the most violent yesterday, taking advantage of the dust storm that hit the Shaddadi area, and tried to capture the village of Ghazawi, Riemat and Hariri, but it failed and suffered losses of life and gear.
