IS group-held areas in Deir al-Zour witnessed a rebellion by unknown persons about two months ago and have continued by now, which has resulted in assassinations and kidnappings against the organization's leaders and other militants.

The insurgency comes at a time when the organization has been trying to move its main headquarters and offices from Raqqa to Deir al-Zour before the closure of the siege on the city to isolate by the US-backed militias of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Unknown people had killed the Emir of al-Hesba of IS organization in the town of Sabikhan in the eastern suburb of Deir al-Zour and two militabts in the town of al-Mayadeen, according to identical media sources.

Other sources also confirmed the killing of "Abu Anas al-Tunisi", one of the leaders of the organization in the village of Dhiban in the eastern suburb of Deir al-Zour and the abduction of two elements from the village of Shanan.

On the other hand, no one has claimed responsibility for these operations yet, and it has not been known whether the YPG militia , the security cells of the Syrian regime or the people of the region who have been subjected to all kinds of violations against them by the organization are the real operators.

Local sources said that the IS militants had found an Emir of the organization who had been kidnapped from Deir al-Zour and was found dead in Badia Abu Hammam after breaking both hands and feet.
