The Democratic Union Party (PYD), which seeks to declare federalism after setting up its self-governing regions, has declared its total rejection of the agreement signed in the Kazakh capital Astana, which calls for the creation of tension-free zones.

"We reject the proposed agreement from Russia and considers such an agreement would be a division project of Syria on a sectarian basis," a spokesman for the Democratic Union Party said in a statement to the RODAO network, calling it is a "crime".

The Russian proposal could also threaten areas under the control of the party, which is self-governing in reference to the cities of Hasakah, Qamishli, Ain Arab and Afrin.

It is noteworthy that the Democratic Union Party, which is supported by the US - and Turkey considers it as a terrorist organization and extension of the organization of the PKK - is the first to try to divide the Syrian territory, and began in 2013 when the party announced the project of self-management in three areas in Syria is Hassakeh, Afrin, And then began to try to announce the federalism in the same areas in late 2015 and early 2016, but many of the Kurdish opposed parties of the Kurdish National Council and the Arab forces rejected this in addition to some countries in the region.
