The delegation of the revolutionary forces in the Kazakh capital Astana declared its rejection of any political or military initiative unless it relied on the Security Council resolution on Syria and the relevant international resolutions.

The delegation issued a statement on Thursday that the delegation had traveled to Astana on 3 May to discuss the establishment of a ceasefire and on pledges to halt military escalation in the liberated areas and to abide the ceasefire. However, the delegation was surprised in the escalation of the Syrian regime warplanes bombing over the areas leading a large number of victims.

“We reject any military or political initiative or to hold any agreement unless it is firmly binding on Security Council resolution 18/2/2013 and all relevant international resolutions, in particular the resolution 2254/2015 and its articles 10, 12, 13 and 14, And negotiating procedures under international humanitarian law ", The delegation stressed.

The delegation reaffirmed that it rejects any agreement unless it includes six points: the territorial integrity of Syria, the rejection any role of Iran and its militias as guarantors and considering Iran as a hostile state rather, a timetable for the departure of foreign militias, nationwide cease-fire agreement, concrete commitment of the broker states to any agreement or undertaking, and the affirmation of all relevant international resolutions, in particular Security Council resolutions 18/2/2013 and 2254/2015.

The state sponsor of the Astana conference signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of “de-escalation zones” in Syria and set the middle of next July as a new date to resume talks..
