The Civil Defense calls on the military factions to avoid civilians teams and abide by international laws

The Directorate of Civil Defense in East Ghouta area on Monday called on the military factions to abide by ethical and international norms and laws and to neutralize civilians, paramedics and civil defense during ongoing infighting, according to a statement issued by the Directorate.

The Directorate pointed out that it stressed previously on the need to abide by all "parties to the conflict in the eastern Ghouta" in reference to the clashes had erupted between Jaish al-Islam vs Failaq al-Rahman and HTS "principles of armed conflicts , customs ,ethical and religious laws in battles and neutralize civilians ,medical personnel, civil defense teams and all groups of Human rights of their conflicts and direct and indirect fire shooting. "

The targeting of ambulance teams in the Civil Defense several times during the evacuation of civilians as they were transfered to medical centers is no longer acceptable, pointing out that an ambulance was fired, resulting in the injury of one of the volunteers and another car was targeted directly, the Directorate also considered.

"We in the Syrian Civil Defense Sector of the Eastern Ghouta blames the conflict’s parties of the civilians safety and the defense teams and medical personnel as well, and we confirm that we continue our humanitarian work and committed to complete neutrality, away from prejudice to any party or political group."the Civil Defense added.

It is noteworthy that the eastern Ghouta has experienced during the past few days clashes between Jaish al-Islam vs Failaq al-Rahman and HTS focused in the areas of Arabin and Haza and then moved to the areas of Ash’ari ,Masraba and Medira.
