Action Group: 27 Palestinian Refugees killed in #Syria last month

Action Group for Palestinians of Syria announced on Monday, the killing of 27 Palestinian refugees in Syria as a result of the ongoing war there, last November, 2017. The human rights reports have documented the killing of 2820 Palestinian refugees in Syria since the outbreak of war in 2011, 272 ones were lost and 831 Palestinians were arrested by the Assad regime.

The Reasons for Murder

The group said: "The reasons for the killings ranged from a participant in the fighting with the Syrian regime forces and rebel factions in Syria, or torture in the regime's prisons, and others were executed by militants of IS group, as well as the shelling and sniping." It explained that four refugees were killed due to shelling of the regime forces on the Yarmouk refugee camp and the camp of Daraa and Muzeireeb, 13 refugees were killed during the fighting alongside the regime and its militias.

The Group noted three refugees were killed as they were fighting alongside the rebels factions, and four refugees were executed in the field by IS militants in the Yarmouk refugee camp, and two other refugees were killed under torture in the regime's prisons and one refugee was killed of sniper bullet.

Deteriorating Situation

In a related context, the group confirmed that the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp south of the capital, Damascus, is witnessing a rapid deterioration in the humanitarian and health situation; where hundreds were injured in the camp multiple disease mostly related liver disease and kidney.

It added that all clinics and hospitals in the camp is still not functioning due to running out of medical supplies, and the non-existence of specialized medical staff, with the exception of Palestine Hospital, which offers some of the primary medical services.

The group pointed out that due to the continuation of the strict siege imposed by the Assad regime forces and IS militants on (3-5) thousands of civilians for (1352) days which killed 185 refugees have died due to malnutrition and medical care shortages.
