4 Syrians Executed and dozens lost after being deported from Kuwaiti territory

The Secretary General of a human rights organization in Kuwait, operating in the field of human rights and the fight against corruption, reported the executions carried out by the Syrian regime against Syrians who were expelled from Kuwait and of dozens diappeared.

Hussein al-Shamali, secretary-general of the Al-Kafi organization operating in Kuwait, told Kuwait's Al-Qabas newspaper that there were four deportees from Kuwaiti lands who had Syrian citizenship executed by the Syrian regime, in addition to dozens of missing Syrians who were also deported. .

Al-Shamali confirmed that the families of Syrian missing persons do not know anything about them until now. He pointed out that the process of deportation from Kuwaiti lands was mostly due to minor issues such as lack of driving certificates and serious traffic violations.

He stressed that  the Kuwaiti authorities need to re-consider dealing with the Syrian community residing on Kuwaiti territory; because the Syrian regime to impose severe penalties on those who attacks it on social media and websites may reach the execution.

Kuwait's permanent representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva, Jamal al-Ghunaim, confirmed in his statements at the end of 2016 that the number of the Syrian community residing on Kuwaiti territory exceeds 146 thousand Syrians, equivalent to about 10% of the total population.
