ElDorar AlShamia:

The General Coordinator of the Syrian High Negotiations Committee (HNC), Riyad Hijab, warned of the dangers of Iran circumventing international resolutions related to the Syrian issue through the meetings of Astana, which gave it the status of guarantor.

In a telephone tlaks with British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, Hijab said the “de-escalation zones” did not coincide with the concept of "safe areas" as Iran mobilized more militias in Quneitra and Hama, warning of the dangers of Iran's attempts to circumvent international resolutions related to the Syrian affairs through the meetings of Astana, and through the adoption of a UN resolution granting it the status of observer and guarantor.

"The Syrian people rejected any role for Iran as a guarantor of the political process or as an observer to stop the fighting; they (Iran) are the main reason for the suffering of the Syrian people who are behind the fueling of sectarian tension and support terrorism and crimes against civilians," stressing the need for a successful truce in Astana and Geneva, And at the same time to halt the daily violations of the agreements had been concluded, Hijab confirmed.

Hijab considered that the American missile operation that targeted the airbase of the Syrian regime "al-Sha’yrat" proved that the best dealing with the regime and its allies is showing the firmness and seriousness in the implementation of UN resolutions.

It is noteworthy that HNC had issued a statement yesterday warned of the document presented in Astana, the ”de-escalation zones" considering that Iran is an aggressor state must be held accountable for violations, and the agreement lacks the minimum elements of legitimacy .
