Iranian Revolutionary Guards members killed in #Syria

More Iranian Revolutionary Guards members have been killed in Syria during battles against rebels factions in recent days, Iranian media sources admitted.

The media reported that the officer "Ahmed Gholami" captain and"Mohammed Reza Sheibani" - did not disclose his rank - were killed in Syria, in addition to the killing of the soldier, "Hamid Bfenda."

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Iran-backed militarily and financially funded militias from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq have suffered heavy losses over the six years of the war fighting alongeside the Syrian regime. According to the latest statistics from the Iranian authorities, the death toll of the Iranian army exceeded 2100, including senior officers and field officers killed in Syria and Iraq.

Iran tries to take the role of guarantor in the political process in Syria, but the coordinator of the High Negotiating Committee , Riyad Hijab, confirmed yesterday that Iran can not take the role of guarantor of the political process in Syria, especially as it may also cause the suffering of the Syrian people.
