The Democratic Syrnian Forces (SDF) militias announced on Tuesday the formation of a civilian council to run the city of Raqqa, in preparation for the takeover with the support of the US-led International Coalition.

The militias that the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) is the core components have made progress on Raqqa backed by air strikes and US & Western special forces.

The spokesman of the (SDF) militias, Talal Silo said in a statement: The preparatory committee held "meetings with the families and dignitaries of the city of Raqqa to know their views on how to manage the city ," and pledged to provide "all possible support" adding that they handed over some towns surrounding the city of Raqqa to the Council.

These militias were able to besiege the city of Tabqah in the western entry of Raqqa after the massacres committed by the coalition aircraft against the city’s locals.

Turkey has indicated its willingness to take part in the upcoming military operation of Raqqa conditioning of excluding the YPG militia from the operation, and demanded the United States not to support the militia, but the coalition continues to provide support for the Kurdish militants in all its forms.
