Each of Jaysh al-Fateh and Lebanese Hezbollah, which controls the towns of Kefriya and Foua’ in rural Idlib, conducted a prisoner swap on Wednesday as a preliminary step to implement the full terms of the agreement between the two sides, known as al-Zabadani-al-Foua’ agreement.
The exchange between the two sides included Jaysh al-Fateh to release 13 prisoners from Hezbollah and national defense militias, in addition to 8 bodies, including the body of an Iranian officer, in exchange for the exit of 13 people, mostly civilians, from neighboring areas, lost the road and entered The town of Foua’, ElDorar’s correspondent reported.
The first batch (8,000 persons) of Hezbollah and the National Defense Forces, as well as civilians, are expected to witness the coming hours, in exchange for the departure of 3,800 people from Madaya and Zabadani as the implementation of the Qatari-brokered agreement.
