Former Syrian ambassador to Jordan Bahjat Suleiman boasted of the massacre of Khan Shaikhoun in rural Idlib, which took place Tuesday morning, as a result of the bombing of the Syrian army's air force, which used chemical weapons to against civilians.
"Bombing terrorists' headquarters and exploding their chemical weapons, this is an honor for you and a disgrace for NATO," Suleiman posted on his Facebook account.
The Russian Defense Ministry denied the responsibility of the Syrian regime for the massacre and said: The raids by the Assad aircraft had targeted a factory and a stockpile of chemical weapons and ammunition, managed by "terrorist groups" in Khan Shaikhoun used in the attacks.
For his part, Hussein Murtada, director of the Arabic-language Iranian-language TV channel Al-Alam, accused the Jabhat al-Nusra and its allies of being behind the attack in order to mix the cards and accused Israel of complicity in the attack.
About 100 people were killed and 400 injured in the attack, and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) confirmed that nerve-related symptoms had appeared on the injured.
