New mergers in northern #Syria

Two revolutionary factions announced, on Sunday, joining the two other factions of the major factions in northern Syria of Faylaq al-Sham and the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham.

Faylaq al-Sham revealed the joining of "Ajnad al-Sham”northern sector" to its ranks, and Jaysh al-Fatehin south of Idlib province announced joining the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham.

Jaysh al-Fatehin said in a statement: "We are an army of conquerors, the military clans present in the countryside of Khan Shaykhun and eastern countryside of Mu’arra, led by Sheikh Omar Faris, announce joining the Islamic Movement of Ahrar al-Sham, led by Ali al-Omar “Abu Ammar."

Recent months have seen big mergers in rural Idlib and Aleppo, in particular, after the Assad regime and supporting militia seized control of the city of Aleppo, it was the most prominent of these mergers: the merger Noureddine Zanki movement and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and other entities under the name of "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.
