Did Jordan decide to engage directly in the Syrian crisis?

Media reports revealed that Jordan will participate in the Astana talks, along with Russia, Turkey and Iran, to discuss monitoring the ceasefire in Syria, which was interpreted by observers that Amman has decided to engage directly in the Syrian issue.
The Rusian news agency "Interfax" reported a source as saying, that "Jordan will participate in the first meeting with the participating nations in the talks."

Jordan's participation in the meetings of Astana came two days after the bombing of the Jordanian fighters separately from the international coalition against sites for IS in Tel Asfar area in the countryside of al-Suwaidaa in the Syrian south.

American newspaper "National Interest" hinted in a report yesterday to the presence of a Jordanian role in the safe areas in Syria, proposed by US President Donald Trump recently , in order to resettle the displaced people, to ease the burden on the countries that host them.

The newspaper added: "Turkey and Jordan seem closest to the management of such areas, but this does not mean the exclusion of other parties from management, such as Russia, or even the United Nations to provide security."
Media reports said that the US president, Donald Trump, discussed last Friday, with the Jordanian monarch, the possibility of establishing safe zones in Syria, because the importance of Jordan's role in Syria.
