UN: We are not involved in the evacuation plans of eastern Aleppo

The United Nations confirmed on Wednesday that they do not participate in the evacuation plans of the trapped people in east Aleppo, but they are ready for it.

United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in a statement, "The United Nations stands ready to facilitate the voluntary and safe evacuation operations of the wounded, the sick and civilians at risk from the besieged city.

Trapped residents evacuation operations remain suspended, while French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault called for the deployment of observers to monitor the evacuation process.
