The site of "Arabic 21" published photographs documenting the suffering of Syrian refugees stranded behind a dirt embankment along the northern borders of East Jordan, at the two crossing points “Alhdlat” and “al-Rukban”.
Syrian-Jordanian Relief sources described these conditions of refugees whose number is estimated at 50 thousand as "deplorable" as suffering from difficult humanitarian conditions, "the spread of disease, and scarcity of food and medical aid, housing difficult circumstances in a desert area cold at night and hot during the day, and infested insects and animals.
